Monty gets to wear the gold medal from the USA Nordic team - it weighs more than all his pins combined
Devin gets to check out a Silver and a Gold in Nordic for the USA.
The whole family parties in the Skiis&Biikes-SnowCovers store in the village with the USA Ski team - this night was the Nordic team and they were so nice and down to earth
Pic below is Alexis and Gillian waiting to slip the GS - Eric Guay is in the background getting his boots cooled down with snow packs to make them stiffer - Alexis was my wing man and Gill and a young local guy were teamed up - we had to go fast as the intervals were very short and the distance we had to cover was lots.

Feb 21 - Sharon getting the Slalom portion ready for the Super Combined
Feb 20 - Gill and Alexis got here from McGill on the night of the 18th and started slipping on the 19th then slipped with me on the 21st for the men's Super Combined. Gill and Devin teamed up and Alexis and I teamed - we slipped one team after the other - as chief of race called us the Montgomery team. Sharon was on the side of the hill racking. The race was amazing, especially the slalom which was up close and personal.

Feb 19 - Men's SG - perfect day - sunny and solid snow. Slipped three times down the course - pretty cool with 8,000 people screaming - not for the slippers! - followed Bodie, and some Austrians and Coratian guy - very intense and very fast as we had to slip after every racer and the later guys had 1 minute intervals.
Pic is the final score board of the Men's SG - notice the difference between 2nd and 5th - in distance about 24"
Feb 17 - I was asked to slip the women's combined. The downhill portion was a very slick course and very difficult - very steep, very icy, and I didn't know where the pull outs were but it was incredible - I slipped right after Lindsay Vonn in the Downhill portion - then in the afternoon I slipped the Slalom portion - only had to slip once as there was only 32 athletes in it. I watched Lindsay blow out right above me. Snow plowing and slipping down the course is very difficult - I wiped the day before the men's DH and my shoulder is a pretty shade of purple, yellow and black - I still can't lift it above my belt.
Pic is Devin at top of DH for super combined - Devin looks good in his purple jersey, no?
